Historian Runoko Rashidi talks about the early African presence in India

Who is Runoko Rashidi?

Most of the today’s African American youth and the young adults don’t have a clue who he is! Runoko Rashidi is an under-rated historian who has travelled throughout the world to study the early African presence within Europe, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and the rest of the world. He is the author and co-author of one of the imperative African history books you should have in your collection, Black Star: the African Presence in Early EuropeIntroduction to the Study of African Classical CivilizationsBy Runoko Rashidi – African Presence In Early Asia: 1st (first) Edition.

Runoko’s latest presence was in the hit documentary Hidden Colors 2: The Triumph Of Melanin where he talked about his discoveries after years of traveling to over 50 countries and lecturing at over 125 colleges.

One of his lectures and historical findings that Black Urban Media would like to share is study of early African presence in India and how they are oppressed from the past and present.

Runoko isn’t the only one who has made this discovery and talked about it on television. Tom Mboya of the Kenyan television station, Citizen TV, showed black people in India as well who resides in certain parts of India.
